Kenny Florian showing his elbows on Joanne of MMA Girls

First step in throwing an elbow is when covering up (blocking) u are already setting up your elbow, after blocking you come back over with your elbow reaching to either there chin, temple, or neck. You don't need a lot of space or power u want your hand to be open when throwing your elbow, you will have more technique that way. There are many different directions to throwing an elbow up, down, forward, side any direction will make an effect on your opponent. Elbows have a lot of affect on your opponents they will either cut them or knock them out or just shake them up a little bit. Anyway you use an elbow is effective in MMA fighting.

my all time favorite move the (superman punch)

    • 1
Start in a fighting stance. Stand with one leg a step ahead of the other with both arms raised protecting yourself. Bounce lightly on the balls of your feet. You need to be light on your feet to throw a Superman punch.
    • 2
Leap at your opponent thrusting the knee of your back leg forward. It should appear as if you are about to throw a kick. If you do this correctly, your opponent will prepare to defend himself from a lower body attack.
    • 3
Pull your knee back while flying in mid air. This will act as a counterweight to your Superman punch. Actually straighten your leg and kick it backward. At the same time punch forward with the arm on the same side of the body. You will appear like you are flying through the air like Superman.
    • 4
Aim the Superman punch toward your opponent's head. If you performed it correctly, your opponent dropped his guard expecting a lower body attack. This exposes his head as you come flying in. The jump and extension of the Superman punch allows you to make up a lot of distance quickly. It also exposes you to counter attack since you are committing your entire body without any hope of pulling out. Aim accurately.
    • 5
Follow through with the Superman punch as you make contact. Do not withdraw your fist until your opponent has absorbed the force of the entire punch and your forward momentum. If you succeed, you will be on top of your opponent finishing the bout.

How to hit a bag the right way and some pics

Wrap your hands. Keep in mind that punching is tough on your hands. Never punch the heavy bag without proper protection. Use a pair of reusable wraps and wrap your hands tightly and securely before every session. The wrapping should be tight enough to stay in place during heavy hitting, but not so tight that it hinders blood flow. Boxing gloves should fit tightly, and your hands should not move much, if at all, inside the gloves during training. You should wear light shoes with relatively thin soles, as you will be on your toes most of the time. Boxing shoes are best, but any shoes with a thin, light sole will work.

2
Warm up with light punches and footwork. Before you begin your hard, timed rounds, warm up with light punches. Practice single punches such as a jab or cross, or simple combinations, such as a jab followed by a cross. Do not stand in one spot while you punch; always move your feet. Treat the training session like a boxing match where you would constantly move to avoid getting hit by your opponent. This way you will warm up your entire body and prepare every major muscle group for the hard training to follow.

3
Work hard and heavy for short rounds. The best way to build strength is to work for relatively short periods to keep up the intensity. Don't punch the bag endlessly; this will only encourage you to throw lighter punches and move your feet less so you can last longer. Instead, work in three-minute rounds, trying to stay active throughout the entire round. Use combinations. Do not throw single punches; instead, work on proven combinations such as left jab, right cross, left, left; left jab, left jab, right hook; left jab, right cross, right upper cut, jab. After each punch move a little to the side or take a small step back, just as you would in an actual match to avoid getting hit. This will vastly improve your conditioning and help strengthen your entire body.

4
Hit specific targets. The heavy bag presents a large target and can entice you to throw lazy punches without aiming. Always pick specific targets and look where you are hitting. You can simply eye certain portions of the bag or place visual aids such as a few pieces of tape to represent an opponent's head, stomach and liver. This way you will avoid hitting the same spots on the bag over and over and get a more complete workout

training gloves and sparring gloves

Just about every boxer has a pair of gloves that they use for all training purposes. When you go buy boxing gloves, you will see many different kinds advertised. The only ones you really need are TRAINING GLOVES or SPARRING GLOVES. Basically, training gloves are can be used for all types of boxing training like hitting the bags and sparring. Below are general guidelines for body-weight and size of boxing training gloves recommended.
120lbs & down  (12oz or 14oz)
120lbs – 150lbs (14oz – 16oz)
150lbs – 180lbs (16oz – 20oz)
180lbs & up (18oz & up)

Sparring Gloves

Sparring gloves are basically extra-padded training gloves so that you’re not hurting your sparring opponent.  Regardless of size or weight, hardly anyone ever spars with anything less than 16oz unless you’re a really small person (under 120 pounds). Theoretically, you COULD spar with 14oz gloves but then it wouldn’t prepare you for a competition fight if you compete with 16oz boxing gloves. If you weigh more than 175lbs lean muscle, you should spar with gloves no less than 18oz or 20oz. Don’t forget to watch out and make sure your opponent is not using smaller gloves than you because you will get hit harder by the unfair advantage.

Anderson (SPIDER) Silva awesome video and some pics

Anderson Silva, known primarily for his Muay Thai skills, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. "The Spider" was crowned the UFC middleweight champion after his victory via TKO over Rich Franklin in October of 2006. It is because of Silva's dominance, in such promotions as the UFC and PRIDE, that he has been said to be the "best pound for pound Mixed Martial Arts fighter in the world." Since being a member of the Chute Boxe Academy, Silva has joined Team Black House. Anderson Silva has competed as both a light heavyweight and middleweight in the UFC. On many occasions, "The Spider" has said that he plans to retire in 2009, the year his UFC contract expires.

george st pierre one of the greatest

when St. Pierre was about 12 years old, his karate teacher died ( soon after giving him his second-degree black belt ). It was at that point that he ceased doing karate, instead focusing on Muay Thai kickboxing. Soon after that- when he was 16 years of age - St. Pierre finally found a place to do Brazilian jun jin su in his area, something that he had been interested in since he'd begun watching the UFC.
Around the age of 18, St. Pierre started wrestling and boxing. He was well on his way to an MMA career. Still, St. Pierre continues to give credit to the traditional karate art that he learned so long ago, unlike many MMA fighters out there today.

Best mma movie of all time

I know there's other mma movies out there, but i think this movie beats them all. Its about two guys that are having troubles in their life One guy is a teacher and the other is a lost marine. The teacher is needing money to save his house and the marine is looking for a way out. through out the movie u watch what troubles they have. In the middle of it all they find out that there is a BIG fight,  Any body that's anybody can fight only sixteen. fighters and they can range from a Joe smo  to a ufc fighters and they have to fight the champion of the UFC. and the winner get 5 miilion dollars. And the two guys are related you didn't see that coming did you. Again im leaving you wondering  you need to see this movie let me know what you think even if you've already saw it. Heres a trailer.

mma movie that was good

Never back down is one of my favorites the story line was good but watching them on how they trained was really cool..The coach was hard on the guys who trained with him, he was very strict on using their skills outside of practice. one of  kids used his training on some guys on the street, which was an awesome fight by the way well coach found out and kicked him out of the school.long story short that kid need somewhere to practice and the coach really didnt want back cuz of the fight. The coach finally gave him another chance. But there's a bad ass he wants to fight. which was also another great fight im leaving it at. That go out and see, let me know what you thought and if there's any other movies i need to see.. here's a sample of the movie.

girl fight

Now theses two girls really went at it. Its amazing what a human body can go through when that cage closes.i like watching girls fight instead of guys cuz , girls seem like, im here to kick your ass and i don't care on how i look or how its done.and when guys fight the try to show off with what they have.its crazy i might be wrong though it was a good fight, its funny how none of them really tried any submitions they wanted to knock each other out. I love it. let me know what u think. i know there's better fights out there but this one stuck out.

Another arm bar escape

How to get out of a arm bar

There are many ways to get out of a arm bar. When your opponent starts to fall back us the arm that is being attacked, point your thumb going toward him. Thumb is towards his hip controlling his leg bring your feet over his foot he will follow this letting you on his back. See which one you like and works for you and let me know.

How to hand wrap with a 180 in wrap

You should always us a 180inch wrap when wrapping your wrists. Start with putting your thumb threw the loop tag down then wrap it around your wrist 2-3 times. Then go up between the thumb and pointer finger across the knuckles twice and again around the wrist and up between the fingers. Then across the knuckles 2-3 times again around the wrist till completely wrapped then Velcro together and your down. Now depending on were you want to considerate on either your knuckles or you wrist is up to you and you can just add more wrap around on those areas.  There are many other ways to wrap your wrists. Let me know what you think.

One of the ways how to do a triangle with over hook in guard

Brake out of position, concentrated on the one side and control with hips. Hands are tight and move hips out on that side. Pull legs and arms then shift pull reaching up with your hand and grab his body. Pull his body tight to yours, hand on back of his head on his o-bone its easier to control his body with his head. Elbows coming together pinching and squeezing his body pulling down with guard to control his posture. Your foot on his hip bent tight us the other foot tightly on his other hip to "hipping out" taking his knee out, knee to elbow pulling across. Putting your hand on your shin pulling across back threw pulling your leg across his back neck.Grab his wrist pushing out putting your other leg up to crisscross ankles, squeeze to control his posture. Switch to his head and back arm come to his shine put the other leg across his back. His head down put the other leg on top of that leg. Clear his arm lift up more put his arm across his face and your arm in his armpit grabbing his arm angle your hip, grab his arm and hold and squeeze when he taps you've completed your triangle.
